Demonstrating the DML DC04150 Digital Caliper
The DML DC04150 Digital Caliper is demonstrated in this video.
- We begin by unpacking the instrument.
- We then demonstrated the instrument’s repeatability by opening and closing the jaws the complete length of the scale.
- We measured our first 25mm gauge block at this point.
- We then changed the reading from metric to imperial and measured a 1″ gauge block.
- After switching back to Metric, we zeroed it at 25mm and closed the jaws to show that there is no drift along the scale.
- We then take measurements with a 30mm ring gauge’s.
- We go through the process again, this time comparing it to the Mitutoyo 500-196-30 Digital Caliper.
You can view the Mitutoyo 500-196-30 here…

I am delighted. Arrived quickly. I looked at the video and decided to put my faith in this gauge after seeing it perform against a high priced gauge and against precision standards. I have confirmed the accuracy and repeatability. I did not look after my previous gauge but this time I surely will. So unless you are looking for something more rugged then look no further – this one hits the mark.

Really very pleased. Bought via Amazon which saved me the postage. Arrived quickly, replacement for an old cheap one from a nameless supermarket that was beginning to get jittery. Straight out of the box, felt good, smooth operation. Tested against a variety of 2 dozen “known” measurements – cannot find any variation. Good clear display, I like that it remembers the units from last time, much quicker to start than my old one. Like anything else, only time will tell, but so far it’s a 5 star from me.
Excellent tool.
